This sign means?
- Motorcycle crossing ahead
- Bicycle parking permitted
- Bicycles not permitted
- Bicycle crossing ahead ✓
Answer: D. Bicycle crossing ahead
The sign means bicycle crossing ahead.
Why this is the answer
The Ontario handbook lists bicycle crossing ahead among the common warning signs you will see. That wording tells you to expect a place ahead where bicycles cross the road. The bank answer matches this directly. The passages do not describe this sign's shape, colour or symbol, so you do not need those details to know its meaning.
Why the other answers are wrong
- A. Motorcycle crossing ahead — The handbook passage names a bicycle crossing warning, not a motorcycle crossing, so there is no support for a motorcycle sign here.
- B. Bicycle parking permitted — The passages describe a warning about bicycles crossing, and nothing in them says this sign permits bicycle parking.
- C. Bicycles not permitted — The handbook lists this as a bicycle crossing warning, not as a regulatory sign forbidding bicycles.
Remember it
Link the words bicycle and crossing in your mind: this warning is about where cyclists cross, not where they park.
